Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American stage and screen actress best famous for her role in film for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a master's degree in Fine Arts in acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is a film and theater actress who is producer. Her first job was as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television programs, as well as independent and mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and also appeared in BET's acclaimed series The Book of Negroes for which she won high praise but also many nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film career began in the late 1990s. she is known best for her role in movies like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her role as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
